“One day there was a talk at work on the history of race in the USA. I asked my teammates to go, and one response I got was that there was no point in learning about this stuff, because we would never be on a team with Black people. It highlighted how learning how to be more inclusive always seems to be opt-in, with those who care about diversity spending time away to attend talks and seminars, while the majority just keep working and making money.”
