“On a recruiting call for a senior software engineering position, the recruiter and I started discussing pay. He explained that the company has set salaries for each level, with three tiers based on your location. He mentioned that many people in the company want to get rid of the three tiers because everyone is doing the same work regardless of where they live. The analogy he chose for this was, 'I mean, we wouldn’t pay a woman less just because she’s a woman.”
