“At every company I've worked for, female employees -- whether engineers, managers, or non-technical employees -- routinely and disproportionately take on the documentation, support, organizing, and project management workload of their team. When female ICs focus like men on individual deliverables, they're viewed as ‘not being a team player’, which counts against them in leveling discussions. I have personally seen three female ICs end up being pushed into junior manager or PM roles in exactly this situation.”
