#14 “If we acknowledge that the pipeline is broken, why are we using a broken system to fill our rosters?”

“There are no women on my team. Most of the teams we work with are the same or similar. When raising this problem and suggesting a hiring freeze until the solutions and approaches can be investigated more thoroughly, I am told that such a thing isn't feasible by my managers. This means that as the wheels are spinning on a problem that is allegedly all to do with the pipeline, the office becomes more and more male dominated as more and more men are disproportionately hired. If we acknowledge that the pipeline is broken, why are we using a broken system to fill our rosters?”
